Today, March 10, 2023, within the framework of the chairmanship of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Fifth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of States of Central Asia, an international conference of the Center for Strategic research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan began its work on the topic “Tajikistan — Central Asia: the policy of good neighborliness, mutual support, eternal friendship and joint development». The conference is attended by heads and experts of analytical centers of Central Asian countries, representatives of domestic and foreign medias.
The conference has been opened with an introductory speech by Director of the Center for Strategic research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Doctor of Philosophy science, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan Usmonzoda Khayriddin Usmon. Then the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sodik Imomi, the Chairman of the Committee on International Affairs, Public Associations and Information of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Fattohzoda Saidmurod Samad and the Regional Representative of the Foundation named after. Konrad Adenauer on Central Asia Ronny Heine.
At the plenary session of the conference spoke the following speakers: Director of the Center for Strategic research under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Usmonzoda Khayriddin; Director of the International Institute of Central Asia Norov Vladimir; Director of the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic research under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Tukumov Yerkin; Director of the National Institute for Strategic research under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Kanatbek Aziz; Director of the Center for Strategic research of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Shiri Shiriev and the First Deputy Director of the Institute for Strategic and interregional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Nematov Akramjon.
At the conference will be discussed the following issues: the role of the countries of Central Asia in the ensuring regional and international security and stability, global initiatives of the Republic of Tajikistan and other countries of the region in this direction, the policy of good neighborliness, the state and prospects of trade-economic cooperation of the countries of Central Asia as an important factor in ensuring stability and sustainable development in the context of fundamental changes in the system of international relations.
